Here today Gon tomorrow

This sculpt took two hours. I had to cut myself off there because I know there are more pieces I’d like to tweak, but it was already at my upper limits for a crunch.

This sculpt took two hours. I had to cut myself off there because I know there are more pieces I’d like to tweak, but it was already at my upper limits for a crunch.
First crunch, but it was fun enough to guarantee another.
This is an hour speed sculpt of the Penguin’s head then about an hour playing with the subtools and BPR settings.
Instead of doodling new ideas I went back to my first Lunch Crunch approach and played with iterations of the base head, in order to get new ideas or possible characters.
Every ten minutes I quickly did iterations, which led me to get 7 different ideas for a possible new character. The work isn’t awesome, nevertheless out of these seven heads I got at least two or three that are gonna let me explore further character conception.
I find a good way for me to make a character is to base it on an odd looking animal or something of that nature. Many times the odd shapes or funny expressions I find can set the tone for the character. This speed-sculpt was created with zbrush 4r3 using the workflow I have been showing here. This guy needs another session to fine tune and add more detail, but I wanted to share the sculpting session with you guys. Thanks for viewing! Todd
